WHAT JUST HAPPENED

WHATS THE MISSION

Founded on February 29, 2020, the Institute of Performative Inquiry is a  is a collective of artists, academics, facilitators, coaches, daydreamers and a few non-humans. Through performances, interventions and carefully composed rituals, we gently shift the conditions of a situation, inviting conversations, questions and experiences that rarely emerge by themselves. We don't arrive with answers, we create situations worth paying attention to. What happens next belongs to the people who meet there.
TEAM IOPI.jpg

We strive to explore this the following realms:

Inquiry

explore and employ art-based ways of intervention for better leadership, collaboration and - why stop there? - for a better society

Bliss

create a joyful spirit of collaboration wherever possible

Curiosity

fuel the fruitful exchange of arts and other spheres of modern society

Enough

fight the overall extension of institutional boredom, isolation, ignorance and anxiety.

WHAT DO WE OFFER

We work through different modes of artistic and performative intervention. Each offer opens a different kind of learning, reflection, or transformation space. We understand artistic performance as a means of inquiry, as a way of research. We work based on the understanding that research always intervenes, there is no separation between researcher and research subject. Accordingly we do stuff in order to initiate a response. Sometimes we are more interested in the response than in what we actually do. Here's an incomplete collage of what we are currently busy with. WHATS THE TEAM

Meet Our Experts

Our diverse team is committed to relentless curiosity in research, intervention, reflection and education.  We understand performative inquiry as an embodied way of holding space for social encounter and individual development. Performative inquiry for us are directed steps into unknown territory. In this, we have a deeply empathetic relation with the imperfect, the emergent, the weird, absurd, the counter-intuitive - yet the relevant. And we love to perform stuff into existence. You can easily get in touch with each of them by simply clicking on the letter symbol below each pic. Enjoy the conversation!
